The rhododendrons smell as purdy as they look! I’m sure glad the deer don’t eat them.
Sutton and Alder Dune campgrounds are a great place to stay for Rhody Days in Florence, Oregon – May 17th
I love wisteria! It’s so delicate and graceful looking.
I still don’t know if these are a dwarf Rhody or something else.
But look what I happened upon! Are spiders chameleons? Or is there a different variety of spider for each color of flower?
Anytime I see a spider on a flower it is exactly the color of the flower.
Nature is SO cool! Heavenly Father is an artist!
Come and get it!
The salmon berries are already ripening in Alder Dune Campground.
Fish the stocked lakes for rainbow trout. Trout for dinner and berries for dessert!
Florence Oregon’s Rhody Days was last weekend. I don’t know how they get all those rhodies to bloom in time for it every year?
I love the deep red ones.
They’ll all still be in bloom for Memorial Weekend. You’ll see many pink rhodies in our campgrounds (Sutton and Alder Dune, north of Florence). The pink ones are the wild rhodies.
Notice: There’s no access to the dunes for ATV’s from these campgrounds. But access to the dunes is a short drive away.
