Tides at Seal Rock, Oregon

We’ve got minus tides along the central Oregon coast this week; which means there will be extra high tides also.

This photo is at a normal high tide.

This is looking north from Hwy 101. There is a parking area and restroom at the State Park. You can see the pathway, in the distance, that goes from the parking area to the beach.

The next photos were taken at today’s minus tide from the same point.

We had rain, wind, hail and sunshine today!  Woo Hoo!  Minus tides are fun because you get to see some of the tidepools that aren’t usually visible.

Today’s minus tide was -1.2 and it will increase until Friday at -1.9; 6:03pm.  The high tides will increase to 10.3 on Friday at 11:17am.

I didn’t have my camera with me for today’s photos 😦  First time I’ve forgotten it in a long time.  I took these last two with my phone.
