I took these photos a couple years ago when we were workamping in northern Utah.
I don’t know if I’ve posted them or not but I often go back to look at them because I love the interaction these two have with each other.
They are Ruby-throated Hummingbirds and, I believe, they are both females.
I started to put captions on each one because I can just imagine what the one on the left is saying and the deafening sound of silence from the one on the right.
But I thought you’d enjoy it more if you imagined your own conversation. I laugh when I see her cringe after she sticks her tongue out.
