…for one incredible weekend on the Central Oregon Coast!
There’s not really a great place to park here to enjoy the view. But there is a trail to a park bench overlooking this wonderful chasm on the south end of Yachats. Here’s another splash at the same location.
It was a great whale-watching day but we didn’t see any. I read that they may be moving back north, from Baja, earlier than normal this year. They usually cruise by here in March and estimates are that they may be here this month. The grey whales are already being spotted, with their new calves, along the California coast.
How long has it been since you’ve stopped in on Strawberry Hill? It has everything! Seals, tidepools, agates and whale watching from the trailhead.
I can always count on seals being here. In fact, it makes you wonder if they are domesticated. hahaha I see them everytime I drive by; low or high tide – doesn’t matter.
Just happened to catch some whiskers against the dark background. 🙂
The beautiful weather is supposed to hold out for the entire weekend!!!
