I was surprised, yesterday, when I didn’t see any debris on the beach. But this morning was another story.
Rivers rising to major flood stage means they pick up a LOT of branches and logs and carry them out to sea. The current is carrying them north. So it only took a day for the debris from the Yachats River to get to Tillicum Beach. At least, I assume, that’s where this is from.
This is the north stairway at Tillicum Campground. Unbelievable!
Maybe this is part of a “ghost forest“?
Windy today – lots of foam – high tide was 9.0 this morning and low was -1.0 this evening.
