Sight-seeing on the Central Oregon Coast

Can’t beat the Central Oregon Coast for workamping!  What a beautiful day!  We stole a couple hours for sight-seeing today.  We went up to Boiler Bay, just north of Depot Bay.  Rumor has it that the whales hang out near the kelp beds but we didn’t see any.  Several fishing boats were there though.  It was high tide and the waves were really crashing!

Bunnies are everywhere in Tillicum Campground.  I was a little surprised that this one posed for me.  I saw him out of the corner of my eye as I came up the beach stairs.  He froze so I wouldn’t notice him.  Fooled him!

Minus tides this week.  It was a -.3 tonight.  Every once in a while we have to walk out as far as we can without getting wet.  It’s always amazing to look back to see how far away the shore is.

On the way back to the campground, we found the first whole sand dollar!
