If you find us dead or running around naked through the woods, halucinating, this is what we ate. We went to the Mushroom Festival in Yachats, OR today so we’d be able to recognize some of the edible fungus growing around us. Diane also helped us find these Lobster mushrooms (red edge), Chanterelles (orange) and puff balls (small, round, white). They were all very delicious fried in a little bit of oil and salt/garlic salt. We started out cooking them for an omelet, then we had to add pancakes so I picked some fresh black berries for those. Ahhh, the local cuisine!
Maybe Eric is glad we aren’t cooking his birthday dinner for him tonight!
