I’ve actually seen it happen more often with the Ruby Throats than with the Rufous hummers. Rufous are very territorial and aggressive. Compared to their activity level prior to this photo, I think they’re taking a nap. haha

You got multiple hummingbirds feeding at the same feeder at the same time. Mine won’t tolerate each other nearby them. It has to be an one-at-a-time thing… Maybe I need to get a bigger feeder.
